genU is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Support Worker who can team up with our customer to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making real impact by being a support buddy to our customer through various community activities.

What you’ll do

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them
• Join customers in the community and do recreational activities
• Support customers in daily living skills
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What You’ll Bring

• Extensive experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans
• Extensive experience working with challenging behaviours
• Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration
• Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
• Ability to follow Person Centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes
• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebates)

Bonus points for

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or Higher [CHC33021, CHC33015, CHC43121, CHC43115]; or working towards
