genU is looking for an enthusiastic Support worker who can team up with our customer to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making real impact by being a support buddy to our customer through various community activities.

What you’ll do

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them
• Join customers in the community and do recreational activities
• Support customers in daily living skills
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What You’ll Bring

• Extensive experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans
• Extensive experience working with challenging behaviours
• Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration
• Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
• Ability to follow Person Centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes
• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebates)

Bonus points for

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or Higher [CHC33021, CHC33015, CHC43121, CHC43115]; or working toward
