Support Worker - Overnight Sleep

About the role

We currently have two overnight sleep positions available in Eaton for experienced and qualified support workers. To be considered you must hold a Cert 3 Individual Support (CHC33015/33021) qualification. Staff need to be comfortable taking customers to swimming, and experience with dementia, diabetes and epilepsy would be considered beneficial.

As overnight sleep patterns please note that for the 8 hour sleep period between 10pm-6am, you remain at the home and sleep in your own private room.

A typical day as a Support Worker may look like:

  • Delivering a wide range of domestic supports within high-needs customer residence;
  • Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals;
  • Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
  • Administration duties, expense and mandatory reports.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) - essential
  • Be comfortable taking customers to swimming and joining them in the water
  • Experience with dementia, diabetes and epilepsy would be beneficial
  • Willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering, toileting, medication administration) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)
  • Passion for providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives
  • Willingness to use your fully insured and registered, private vehicle (aligned with Activ’s motor vehicle allowance rebate).
