Our customers are all very individual and have varying needs. For this role, we are seeking an experienced male support worker to support complex high-care needs including behaviours. In a home in Bennet Springs, this position offers a unique roster of 28 hours a fortnight as a permanent position.

Shifts run from 9am-10pm, followed by an 8 hour sleep period of 10pm-6am, before resuming for 6am-9am in the morning. While the total paid hours per shift are 4, it is anticipated that there may be sleep disturbances during the night. In those instances you will receive the appropriate shift penalties.

Key duties include:

• Delivering a wide range of domestic supports within  high-needs customer residence
• Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals
• Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
• Administration duties, expense and mandatory reports.

What you’ll need?

• Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015/33021) or higher is essential
• Extensive experience working with challenging behaviours
• Extensive experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans
• Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration
• Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience
• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity
• Willingness to use your fully insured and registered, private vehicle (aligned with Activ’s motor vehicle allowance rebate).
