The Community Services team in Lower North Metro, supports people living with disability through community engagement. We offer individualised and person-centred supports by working alongside our customers to support them to reach their full potential and make a difference to the lives of people living with disabilities. Our customers are all very individual and have varying needs with frequently changing rosters to suit their lifestyle requirements.
We are looking for energetic support workers who are prepared to support customers including after school pick up, attending sports training , shopping, and building independence at home and in the community.

What you need
Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships;
Ability to follow support plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes;
Experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;
Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration highly desirable;
A valid WA Working with Children card or the ability to apply for one;
Proven administration and computer literacy skills;
Valid WA Drivers Licence and a willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with Activ’s motor vehicle allowance rebate).
What we offer
We offer above award rates depending on your skills and experience. The below rates will also attract afternoon and nightshift loading and weekend rates where applicable.
New to the industry with less than 6 months experience and no qualification
Starting level for experienced staff with no qualifications
2 years’ experience or more and actively working towards their Certificate III Individual Support or Employees with a Certificate III or higher will start at this level
Employees with relevant Certificate IV or higher qualification will start at this level
